Mozambique is a country very rich in culture and talented people but with a great lack of infrastructure, technical knowledge and financial support for cultural projects.

 

As a result, especially outside of the capital Maputo, the movement in film, photos and music is very weak. Mango Sound is based in the cities of Beira and Inhambane and our focus is to contribute to a development in these sectors.

We aim to produce music giving emphasis on its quality and message rather than solely focusing on its commercial value. 

We promote live music, especially in places that lack any kind of live music events.

We design programs to promote and support the development of local talents and offer professional hands-on training for interested people.

 

We consider that a cultural development will contribute positively to the general development of Mozambique.

 

We create projects which aim to make people reflect on topics like violence, health, environment, human rights, among others.

Through our work we aim to bring people and different cultures together.

Mango Sound & Film is about bringing movement into a region of Africa, with many talents and little opportunities. It’s about challenging the rules of the market, and putting the focus on one of the many regions which it doesn't consider worth of attention, proving that there is a lot of potential to be found.
